Immunity

A resilient immune system is built, not bought at the first sign of a sniffle. The most effective approach combines the foundational nutrients the immune system depends on every day with the herbs traditionally reached for during the cooler months. Our immunity collection spans both — the everyday building blocks and the targeted seasonal support — so you can build resilience year-round and have the right tools on hand when you need them.

The foundations of immune support

  • Zinc and vitamin C — the two nutrients most central to healthy immune function; both are easily depleted and commonly low in the diet.
  • Vitamin D — behaves more like an immune-regulating hormone than a vitamin; levels dip through the Australian winter, exactly when immune demand rises.
  • Medicinal mushrooms & beta-glucans — shiitake, reishi, maitake and Wellmune®, sources of immune-modulating polysaccharides that help "train" immune cells.
  • Tonic and acute herbs — Astragalus and olive leaf as deeper-acting tonics; Andrographis and echinacea as the herbs traditionally used in the management of mild upper-respiratory infections.
  • Probiotics — because a large part of the immune system lives in the gut wall; see Digestion & Gut Health.

Who may benefit

Anyone wanting to build everyday immune resilience, those who feel run-down heading into winter, and people wanting targeted support on hand for the change of seasons.

Frequently asked questions

Tonic herbs vs. acute herbs — what's the difference? Tonics like Astragalus are taken over time to build underlying immune strength; acute herbs like Andrographis are reached for as supportive therapy during mild infections.
Which nutrients should I take daily? Zinc, vitamin C and vitamin D are the common everyday foundations; the right doses are best guided by your healthcare professional.
Is gut health linked to immunity? Strongly — much of the immune system resides in the gut.
