Lifestream is a New Zealand wholefood-supplement brand specialising in green algae and grasses. Spirulina and chlorella — the green algae at the core

Spirulina is Lifestream's flagship. It is a blue-green algae exceptionally rich in protein, chlorophyll and a blue pigment called phycocyanin (concentrated in the Blue Extra line), which is studied as an antioxidant. Chlorella is a green single-celled algae whose tough cell wall — which Lifestream cracks to make the nutrients available — is associated with its traditional use in binding and detoxification support. Both are nutrient-dense whole foods rather than extracts, which is why they appear in tablet, powder and capsule forms across the range.

Grasses, greens and biogenic aloe

The organic barley and wheat grass powders supply chlorophyll and a broad spread of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals, and feature in the Greens Daily and Super blends. The Aloe Vera Biogenic juice is a signature product — "biogenic" refers to Lifestream's cold process that aims to preserve the plant's active compounds, used traditionally to soothe and support digestion. Fibre Biotics, Flax and Beauty Biotics round out the range with gut and skin support, and the acerola vitamin C adds a wholefood source of vitamin C.
