Detoxification.

The body detoxifies continuously — it's a normal, ongoing function, not something achieved with a juice and a weekend. The genuinely useful version of "detox" is nutritional: giving the liver and elimination pathways the specific nutrients they use, in the right balance. And the balance is the whole game. Our detoxification collection supports the body's own clearance systems.

The three phases — and the bottleneck that matters

Detoxification runs in three steps. Phase I (liver CYP450 enzymes) chemically alters a compound — but often into a more reactive intermediate. Phase II then conjugates that intermediate (via glucuronidation, sulfation, glutathione and methylation) to make it safe and water-soluble. Phase III transports it out, via bile and the bowel. Where many "detox" products go wrong: speeding up Phase I without supporting Phase II just generates more reactive intermediates — so the two must be supported in balance, and elimination (fibre, bowel regularity) has to keep up or compounds are reabsorbed.

  • Liver nutrients — NAC, glutathione, milk thistle, B vitamins and sulfur compounds feed Phase I and II. See Liver Support.
  • Elimination — fibre and bowel regularity clear conjugated compounds via the gut. See Digestion & Gut Health.
  • Antioxidant cover — Phase I generates free radicals, so antioxidants protect the tissues doing the work. See Antioxidants.
  • Binders & greens — chlorella and similar, traditionally used to support Phase III clearance.

Frequently asked questions

Does the body need help to detox? The organs detoxify on their own; these supply the nutrients they rely on and support elimination — they assist rather than replace the system.
Why is Phase II so important? Phase I makes compounds reactive; Phase II makes them safe to excrete — supporting both in balance is the key.
Are harsh cleanses necessary? No — a nutrient-supported approach alongside good diet, hydration and bowel function works better than an aggressive flush.
