How it works — why the form matters

Conventional ferrous iron salts are effective but frequently poorly tolerated, causing the constipation, nausea and gastric irritation that lead many people to stop taking them. This formula uses SunActive™ iron — a micronised, microencapsulated ferric pyrophosphate. The microencapsulation shields the iron through the upper gut, so it is absorbed with substantially fewer gastrointestinal side effects while still supplying iron for haemoglobin and healthy red blood cell production.
