Quercetin

Quercetin is a flavonoid found in onions, apples, capers, berries and green tea. It is a potent antioxidant, modulates inflammatory signalling, and stabilises mast cells — the immune cells that release histamine. This mast-cell activity underlies its established use in supporting the body's response to seasonal and environmental allergens.

LipoMicel™ delivery and bioavailability

Standard quercetin is poorly absorbed, limiting its therapeutic value. The LipoMicel™ process disperses quercetin into a liquid micelle matrix of microscopic droplets that are more readily taken up by the gastrointestinal tract, reported to achieve approximately ten times the absorption of conventional quercetin. This allows effective dosing at a lower intake.

Indicated for

Support during seasonal and environmental allergen exposure; regulation of the immune and histamine response; antioxidant support; and use within exercise-recovery protocols.

Administration

Take with food. For seasonal support, commence several weeks before anticipated allergen exposure rather than at symptom onset, as mast-cell stabilisation develops with consistent use. One softgel daily, or as directed by your practitioner.

Complementary nutrients

Frequently combined with vitamin C, which complements quercetin's antihistamine activity and assists its regeneration; with bromelain, which supports its absorption; and with zinc for immune support.
