What is SIBO Balance? — the Scobiotic™ approach

A Scobiotic™ is a syntrophic mixed culture of bacteria and yeast grown together — an approach derived from traditional fermentation cultures — in which the constituent organisms support one another's growth and metabolic activity, rather than being blended after the fact. SIBO Balance applies this concept to the small intestine specifically, and contains a range of lactobacilli, blue-green algae, fungi and yeast.

How it works

The small intestine, unlike the large bowel, should carry a relatively low bacterial load; imbalance there drives the gas, bloating and discomfort associated with disordered small-intestinal function. SIBO Balance combines its mixed culture with botanical antimicrobials — allicin from garlic and Iberis amara (bitter candytuft) — directed at that imbalance and the associated mild inflammation. Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) provides antioxidant and nutritional support.
