What is Opti D3 & K2?

A standard-D3 bone-and-artery formula pairing 1000IU of vitamin D3 with a high 180mcg dose of the well-utilised MK-7 form of vitamin K2 — the standard-D3 companion to the calcifediol-based Opti Active D & K2.

How it works — why D and K2 belong together

Vitamin D increases calcium absorption but does not determine where calcium is deposited. Vitamin K2 does: it activates the proteins (osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein) that direct calcium into bone and teeth and inhibit its accumulation in arteries and soft tissue. The MenaQ7® MK-7 form has a long half-life, producing more stable serum levels and better distribution to tissues beyond the liver. Supplying both addresses calcium absorption and its correct distribution.
