What is Opti Active D & K2?

A bone-and-artery formula that improves on a standard vitamin D supplement in two ways: a more bioavailable form of vitamin D, plus the vitamin K2 that ensures absorbed calcium is deposited correctly.

How it works — two upgrades

The D: this uses calcifediol (25-hydroxyvitamin D), the form produced after the first liver activation step D3 must undergo — giving roughly three times the bioavailability per microgram and faster repletion. The K2: vitamin D increases calcium absorption but not its distribution; vitamin K2 activates the proteins (osteocalcin, matrix Gla protein) that direct calcium into bone and away from arteries. The long-acting MenaQ7® MK-7 form is used. D without K2 does only half the job.

Who it may suit

Those with limited sun exposure or in winter; people focused on bone density, especially over 50; indoor workers; those with darker skin; and anyone whose blood test came back low.

How to take it
